The short version
- Wimbook is for readers 13 and older. If you are under 18, use it with your parent's or guardian's permission.
- Chapter I of every book is free. A free account can also create one book of your own a month and read its Chapter I. Later chapters, chapter art and more books of your own come with a paid plan.
- The chapters after your first choice, and all pictures, are made by AI. The characters are invented; no real people. Keep your moves within our Content Policy.
- What you type stays yours. The books, worlds and characters are ours.
- You can cancel a plan at any time; you keep it until the end of the period you paid for.

What Wimbook is
Wimbook is a library of interactive stories. Each book's world, characters and story arc, and the opening of Chapter I, are written by our team. After your first choice, chapters are written by artificial intelligence around the moves you pick or type, inside the rules we set for each book.
Because these chapters are generated as you read, they can contain mistakes or turns that feel off. Characters may say things that are not true; the stories are fiction. If something in a chapter seems wrong or breaks our content rules, tell us at hi@wimbook.com.
AI-generated content, and no real people
Chapters and pictures on Wimbook are generated by artificial intelligence. They are fiction. The people in them are invented, and any resemblance to a real person, living or dead, is a coincidence. You may not name or depict real people in your moves or stories, and Wimbook does not accept photos or faces. We do not make pictures of real people or imitate anyone's voice.
Content rules
The full rules are in our Content Policy. In short: our stories are written for readers 13 and older, like a PG-13 film: romance is slow burn with no more than kisses, violence stays off the page, and every character in a romance is an adult. When you type a move or create your own book, please:
- do not write sexual content, or anything that sexualizes minors;
- do not write hate, harassment or threats against real people or groups;
- do not ask for instructions for violence, weapons, self-harm or crime;
- do not include other people's personal information;
- do not name or depict real people;
- do not base a story on characters, worlds or titles owned by others (no fan fiction of books, films, games or shows);
- do not try to get the AI to produce content that these rules forbid, or get around our safety checks;
- do not scrape or copy the books in bulk, resell Wimbook or its content, or overload the service.
Typed moves and created books are checked automatically. We may decline a move, stop a story, or suspend an account that breaks these rules.
Your stories
- What you type is yours. You give us permission to store it and to process it (including with our AI providers) to run Wimbook for you.
- The chapters written for you are for your personal, non-commercial reading. You can quote them and share screenshots with friends and on social media.
- Our books (titles, worlds, characters, Chapter I, art and the rules behind them) belong to Wimbook. Please do not republish or sell them.
- Your choices, typed moves and the books you create are not shown to other readers unless you share a book (see below).
- You keep your rights in what you type and in the stories you create. You give us a licence to store, process and display it to run Wimbook for you. If you share a story publicly, you also give us a licence to show it to other readers on Wimbook for as long as it is shared.
Sharing, reports and takedowns
- Sharing a story publicly is your choice. Before it appears, an automated check reads its title, description, cover description and Chapter I. If the check cannot run, the story is not published. You can stop sharing at any time.
- Anyone can report a book or a shared story with "Report" on its page. Stories that get several reports are hidden automatically until we have reviewed them.
- We may remove any content, and suspend or close accounts, that break these terms or our Content Policy.
- To report a problem or ask us to take something down, write to hi@wimbook.com.
- Rights holders: if you believe a story on Wimbook copies your work, write to hi@wimbook.com with a link to the story and the work it copies. We review every notice and remove content that infringes.
Plans and payments
- Free: Chapter I of every book, with no account. With a free account you can also create one book of your own a month and read its Chapter I.
- Paid plans are monthly subscriptions that include a number of new chapters, active stories, pictures per chapter and books you can create each month, as listed on the Plans page. Limits reset on the 1st of each month at 00:00 UTC.
- Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the seller (merchant of record) and handles payment, invoices and sales tax. Paddle's buyer terms apply to the payment.
- Plans renew every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- Refunds: you can ask for a refund within 14 days of a first purchase or a renewal. See our Refund Policy. Where the law in your country gives you more rights, those rights apply.
- We may change prices or plan limits. We will tell you before a change applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
- Promo codes give the plan they name for the time they state, cannot be exchanged for money, and may be withdrawn if misused.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or if we have to stop offering Wimbook; if we close Wimbook, we will refund the unused part of any paid period.
Disclaimers
Wimbook is provided "as is". We work to keep it running and the stories within our rules, but we cannot promise it will always be available, error free, or that every AI-written chapter will be what you expect. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be limited by contract.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the country where Wimbook's operator is established. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there.
Changes to these terms
When we change these terms we update the date at the top. For important changes we will tell signed-in readers in Wimbook before they take effect. If you keep using Wimbook after a change, the new terms apply.
